THINGS TO DO IN CAPE COD AREA
CREGSVILLE BEACH
Craigville Beach is located on Nantucket Sound. It is located in Craigville and is a very popular tourist hot spot on Cape Cod. Unlike many private Cape beaches which offer parking to residents only, Craigville is a public beach area, available to non-residents for a daily parking fee.
KALMUS BEACH
Kalmus Beach at the end of Ocean Street in Hyannis is considered by some to offer the best windsurfing on the Cape in the spring, summer and fall. The steady breezes, warm waters and consistent waves off Nantucket Sound draw windsurfers from all over. A beach house at the end of the lot provides restrooms, showers and a tasty snack bar.
VETERANS PARK BEACH
With a delightful view of Lewis Bay, Veterans Beach on Ocean Street in Hyannis is a popular place where beachgoers enjoy picnics and cookouts shaded by a pine grove. The park area is also the spot of two historical shrines, the John F. Kennedy Memorial and Korean War Memorial. This is also a good place to watch the boats traveling in and out of Hyannis Harbor.
